Meta One for Shopify brands: which plan to pay for, and what to do

Meta One charges per profile, from $14.99 to $499 a month. Here’s the plan most Shopify brands need, and how to make it pay.

What it means for you

Pay for Advanced on Instagram, spend every link on a real customer moment, and plan each perk around your customer types.

In short
  • Meta One is Meta’s paid plan for Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp. Business plans run from $14.99 to $499 a month in the US, per profile.
  • Most Shopify brands need Advanced on Instagram. It adds 4 clickable Reel links and 4 post links a month, scheduling, competitor insights and team logins.
  • Paying doesn’t add reach on its own. It only pays back if you use the links and tools on purpose.

Prices and limits checked against Meta’s own pages on 17 October 2026.

Is Meta One worth paying for if I run a Shopify brand?

Our take

Meta launched Meta One on 15 September: one umbrella for every paid plan on Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp. For brands, four plans matter: Essential, Advanced, Expert and Max. Two things catch people out. First, Meta prices each plan per profile, so Advanced on Instagram and Advanced on Facebook is two bills, about $100 a month at US prices. Second, Meta doesn’t publish UK prices yet, so check the subscription screen in each app before you budget. And be honest about what you’re buying. Meta’s head of subscriptions told reporters at launch that the subscription doesn’t give your posts more reach on its own (reported by LBB). You’re paying for tools, so the money only comes back if you use them. We covered the launch itself when Meta announced the business plans.

Start with your customer avatars, the three or four types of people who buy from you. Every useful Meta One perk works better when you plan it around them. Make an Instagram audience list for each avatar and send them private Stories that answer the thing that stops each one buying. Point competitive insights at the brands your avatars also follow, not just your obvious rivals, so you see which formats win their attention. If you switch on the WhatsApp Business Agent, Meta’s AI that replies to customers around the clock, feed it the real questions each avatar asks, and read its first 50 answers before you trust it. If you haven’t mapped your avatars yet, our six stages of the buyer journey is the place to start.

Then spend the links like ad budget. Advanced gives you 4 clickable links in Instagram Reels and 4 in posts each month. Put them on the Reels that show a real customer moment: the unboxing, the before and after, the review someone filmed in their kitchen. A link under a spec sheet goes to waste, and Instagram’s own ranking rules favour original content. Add a tracking tag (a UTM, which you can make with Google’s free link builder) to every link so Shopify shows which Reel made the sale, and keep comment-to-DM running on everything else, because comments still feed the algorithm.

This is where a brand’s B.R.A.I.N.™ earns its keep. It already knows who each avatar is, what they care about and how the brand sounds to them, so it decides which piece of the month gets the link, which avatar it’s for and how the caption reads. A Brain Sprint puts that in place in days. Mary-Anne pays for Advanced on her own Instagram and Facebook, and we’ll share real numbers here once a full month is in.

Questions brands ask
How much does Meta One cost in the UK?

Meta hasn’t published UK prices. In the US, business plans start at $14.99 a month for Essential and go up to $499 for Max, per profile (Meta Newsroom). Check the subscription screen in your Instagram or Facebook app for your price.

Does Meta One increase reach?

Not on its own. Meta’s head of subscriptions said the subscription doesn’t add reach by itself (reported by LBB). Advanced adds Facebook discovery features, such as a possible spot in the Facebook feed and follow invitations, but Meta doesn’t promise results.

Do I pay separately for Instagram and Facebook?

Yes. Meta prices each plan per profile, so each one covers one account (Meta for Business).

How many links do I get in Instagram Reels?

Advanced gives 4 Reel links and 4 post links a month on Instagram, plus 8 Facebook Reel links. Expert gives 8, 8 and 20. Max gives 12, 12 and unlimited Facebook Reel links (Meta Help Centre).

Can I schedule Instagram Stories with Meta One?

Yes, from Advanced. You can schedule Stories up to 30 days ahead, and posts and Reels up to a year ahead (Meta Help Centre).

Is Meta One the same as Meta Verified?

Meta One now holds Meta’s paid plans in one place. Its Essential plan includes the verified badge and impersonation monitoring that Meta Verified offered (Meta Help Centre).
