On 16 October, TikTok Shop's US Seller University said Manage Creators is now Creator Assets. It puts My Creators (each creator's showcase, samples, posts, GMV and commission) next to My Content (views, engagement and conversions for every video and image they post). The page lists the US, EU, UK, LATAM and Japan. A second page splits collaboration into three: Open Collaboration, Platform Campaigns and Target Collaboration. TikTok says no features have gone, and neither page announces any change to commission.
Double click and it's a workflow change with a clear nudge. TikTok's own tip on the page is to spot strong creator videos early, save and boost them, and re-invite the creator who made them. My read: TikTok wants sellers to treat affiliate content as ad creative and put ad spend behind it, which keeps more of the budget inside TikTok.
For a Shopify brand on TikTok Shop, that's mostly good news. Before, you had to match sample status, posts and sales across different screens. Now you can see which creator turned a sample into a video that sold, and which one went quiet.
It ties right into our TikTok rule: build a creator army behind your brand. An army needs someone who knows who's delivering. This page makes that job easier, so the brands that actually work it every week will pull ahead of the ones that send samples and hope.
