Our take

Meta made video from static images generally available in Advantage+ creative. It takes the still images you already have and makes video ads from them. Meta also put catalogue product video into beta for eligible advertisers, which turns product images into product video at scale, and added video tools to Ads Creative Studio for hooks, audio, clip length, text overlays, captions and end scenes.

Meta's reason is simple. It says more than 60% of time spent on Facebook and Instagram goes on video. If your account runs mostly static ads, you sit out of a big share of the inventory.

Here's our view: more video helps, but more versions of the same photo do not equal creative diversity. Meta rewards different angles, different reasons to buy and different people talking to different problems. A moving packshot is still one idea.

Use these tools to fill gaps fast, then spend your real effort on new angles. Your B.R.A.I.N.™ lists every reason customers buy, so you can brief one video per reason rather than ten edits of one.
